Expanding our Soup Pot Together! Join me in supporting The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts!
Welcome to my Monte's March fundraising page.
Two of the causes I’m deeply passionate about come together this November — Monte’s March for the Food Bank of Western MA, and I am deeply honored and proud to support as a marcher in Team Cultivate Generosity and as an artist at Double Edge who will sing the marchers in in resounding music and SHOUT OUT for community coming together for one another.
Because of the community around me and my resourceful Mama growing up, I was blessed to not actually have to know true Hunger, we had a lot of years without security, and there were many times my Mother and I were vulnerably and fiscally strapped and not able to pay a lot of our bills. And still any time we knew of someone in need, my mother would figure out how to expand our soup pot, when I thought we had nothing in the cupboards or the fridge. I march for all that the Food Bank does to help provide that community net for so many, to help feed those in need of help.
Please join us in this community effort. SERIOUSLY Y'ALL! Every $1 donated provides 3 healthy and nutritious meals to a neighbor in need. I'm starting off my page with a gift of my own, and I hope you'll join me and my amazing team of marchers in the Team Cultivate Generosity, Monte Belmonte, Congressman Jim McGovern, all my colleagues at Double Edge Theatre, as well as many other orgs and farms and people and businesses, all coming together to help make many more meals available for those in need.
This moment and these past couple of years have had many challenges for us all. This is also why I march for the power of community. I know many of you already join me in supporting the Food Bank of W.MA — THANK YOU! If you have already made a gift to Monte’s March — THANK YOU again! If you can make a gift of any amount to this effort -- THANK YOU! Every gift makes an impact. And please help us spread the word.
Tune in for more via the Food Bank of W. MA on November 25th and 26th to follow Monte and the marchers on our journey and catch me, Monte, all the marchers, volunteers, Food Bank staff, and more PLUS my colleagues from Double Edge Theatre there to sing the marchers through to the end of the march at the end of the day on the 22nd!
