Bikes Fight Cancer
We at Bikes Fight Cancer know that cancer often brings not only physical challenges but also devastating financial strain. Across the U.S., between 20% and 55% of cancer patients experience food insecurity.
Our goal is to lessen the financial burden that a cancer diagnosis brings. We do this by funding research at Dana-Farber, providing free patient services at Cooley Dickinson, and supporting free programs at Cancer Connection, Cancer House of Hope and summer camps for children impacted by cancer. By supporting the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, we are addressing this need in yet another way.
As many know, nutrition is critical to healing, and by joining this event, we aim to ensure that our neighbors facing cancer don?t have to choose between their next meal and their recovery.
So, we love bikes, hate cancer and will fight to make sure we are lessening the impact of cancer.
