Hi!

Sept 21st, I'm participating for the first time, in the WILL BIKE 4 FOOD fundraising ride to support the Food Bank of Western MA (the 50miler). 

Those who know me, know I almost never reach out to friends, family and colleagues with a fundraiser, even if for a very worthy cause...but this year is different, because...well let's just say, lot's of things are different!

Across the country, federal funding is being cut from those most in need.  Recently our local Food Bank had $440,000 of food grants withdrawn.  The Food Bank of Western MA distributes food through 199 local pantries, meal programs, and shelters...reaching more than 124,000 people every month!  Less funding, food prices rising, more people going hungry...time to get off my duff, get over my discomfort with fundraising and try to help!
