Join me in supporting The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts!
Hi friends,
Team Taco is preparing to walk 43 miles over 2 days to raise awareness about food insecurity in our community and fundraise to address local hunger.
There is a lot of uncertainty going into November due to the goverment shut down, but like many other times, in times of need we rely in community to take care of each other, the Food bank provides meals for a lot of our neighbors year round, let's make sure they can do their best during this time.
I?m so grateful to those of you who have supported me generously over the past several years. I am asking for your continued support in the 16th annual Monte?s March the week of thanksgiving.
I know what it is to be hungry due to injustice in our food system. I have lived experience with food insecurity as a child and as a young parent, as well as a strong commitment to feed our community and fight injustice. We continue to see systemic issues grow, creating food insecurity for more and more people. Despite living in one of the wealthiest regions in New England, that wealth is not equally distributed. We can come together as a community to look out for each other and redistribute resources, while we push elected officials to pass legislation to address larger inequities that cause hunger for our neighbors.
Please join me in fundraising for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and bring awareness to food insecurity. Small contributions have a big impact. Every dollar donated to the Food Bank will provide 3 meals for families and individuals in our community. There is enough food in our country, just not equitable food access. No one should experience hunger. Together we can help bridge gaps, while we advocate for broad food systems change.
Thank you for being a part of our anti-hunger movement and supporting me during the 2022 Monte?s March. You can also join Team Taco and help us fundraise!
