March for the Food Bank Frequently Asked Questions
The March for the Food Bank is a community fundraiser held every November, spanning all four counties in Western Massachusetts - now with the addition of the Mini-March. Led by Monte Belmonte of New England Public Media, Congressman Jim McGovern, and Food Bank CEO Andrew Morehouse, marchers from all over Western Mass walk 46 miles over two days from Springfield to Greenfield. The March raises funds and awareness for the Food Bank and creates sustained public attention around the policies, systems, and economic conditions that drive hunger in the first place.

There is no registration fee for this event. We suggest marchers aim to raise at least $250 to get this year's March beanie but, of course, we encourage you go big! Those that raise $1000 or more get a special gift:) Every $1 raised for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts can provide the equivalent of 3 nutritious meals.
