March for the Food Bank- 16

This year's March for the Food Bank, has raised more than $800,000. We set an ambitious $650,000 goal, knowing the stakes were high. You not only met the goal, you exceeded our expectations. Because every dollar helps create the equivalent of two nutritious meals, your support provides over 1.5 million meals for people across all four counties.

We have now extended our goal to $1,000,000. We will continue accepting donations for the March for the Food Bank through December 31st.

A special thank you to the Food Bank’s own Mr. Rogers—Monte Belmonte—who walked every mile, lifted spirits on the road and over the airwaves, and brought the heart of public broadcasting with him through his tributes to Bob Ross, Bert and Ernie, and Mr. Rogers. And deep gratitude to Congressman Jim McGovern, whose tireless commitment to ending hunger continues to strengthen our entire regional food assistance network.

The 16th annual March embarked on its 43-mile journey from Springfield to Greenfield on Monday, November 24th and Tuesday, November 25th. We also included a 3-mile Berkshire Mini-March in Pittsfield on Saturday, November 22nd. We are so grateful to stand with all of you. Together, we end hunger.
